Thursday’s full moon in Aquarius (August 15, 5:29 a.m. pacific), while powerful and  change-bringing as fixed sign full moons usually are, will have a  softer, more romantic side, thanks to a Sun/Venus conjunction.

This is good news for those in relationships that have compatibility and respect built into the foundation–even, and maybe especially if some of those basic values have eroded over time. If you have a strong base, it can be rebuilt now if you can resist taking the bait and going down old roads. Full moons, particularly those with strong Leo affiliations, often do bring out the drama.

If you’re looking for love, this might not be a bad time to find sparks, and maybe where there’s a spark, there’s fire. Socialize now, as Aquarius and Leo are social signs. Mars is also in Leo, which can bring out suitors and propel them across the room to make a connection.

But this full moon is about much more than romantic love. Aquarius vs. Leo is all about the balance (or lack thereof) between your role in groups, teams, and organizations (Aquarius) and the needs of the self (Leo). It’s about visionary ideas, leadership, and team-playing.

It’s a good time to ask yourself “Where do I need to be more selfish” and “Where do I need to be less selfish”.

And because full moons are about completion, it’s a good time to take inventory and ask yourself which of your involvements would you like to conclude either at this time or soon.

It’s also a good time to focus on elimination of habits, patterns, and beliefs that are no longer serving you. Letting go of people, places and things is more easily achieved in the two weeks following a full moon.

Another cool thing that happened recently: Jupiter went direct after 4 months of retro motion. This is good news for all areas in which forward motion is desired. Pay particular attention to those endeavors that have seemed stalled while the planet of luck and opportunity was retro.

And don’t forget to keep working with the lessons that the eclipse cycle brought. Anyone who’s paying attention has undoubtably learned some important things over the last few months. Now’s the time to put them into practice if you haven’t already. If you are in doubt, meditate on the question “What am I being called to do right now”, and “what do I need to release first.”

This full moon period will lead us to a lovely Virgo new moon on August 30, which will help us build the castles above the foundations we have built.

New Moon Circle – Moon in Virgo

And speaking of the upcoming new moon, I’m having a New Moon Circle on Friday, August 30!

We’ll also do a fabulous energy-enhancing manifestation circle and talk about upcoming lucky days and how to best use them, and how each of the signs can most successfully navigate the upcoming transits. We’ll have refreshments and snacks. And my personal mission is that you will have a better month if you attend this fun, informative gathering!
