If you don’t already have a catalog of all that triggers you, be on the lookout for examples and maybe a few new suggestions over the next couple of weeks, as this Gemini full moon (Wednesday, December 7 at 8:08 p.m. pacific) is a trickster.

I’ve been feeling this one for a few days now, as a full moon often turns up the volume on one’s sensitivity while delivering the wallops. And Mars tightly conjunct the moon only makes the slight, whether real or imagined, seem worse. Yep, it’s mostly about the way people communicate now (or don’t communicate), and how we respond. So take a breath. Be mindful and assume good intentions.

And remember that this is the first full moon following an eclipse cycle. It will tend to echo the eclipse lessons. There’s a month on either side of the cycle in which these lessons are usually delivered. I don’t remember who said it, but I’m reminded of the quote “When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.”

But of course it’s not all bad news. And really, even the irritants, frustrations and breakdowns can be turned around if you are mindful and realize that there’s more to the story. Jupiter, the planet of luck and all manner of benefits makes quite a few aspects in this moon’s chart, which means that the benefits are there, even if it’s not immediately apparent, as several aspects are squares, which will appear troublesome before the gifts are bestowed.

Saturn and Mars are working nicely together now, which means that work can be good, business can be profitable, and when you do what you know you need to do consistently, you will probably get good results. Although, with Saturn square Uranus, you can’t always predict what pitfalls will emerge, but if you have a routine and adhere to it now, you should make progress and head off a few work-related dramas.

And speaking of good news, we’re still in that magical window where visions, dreams and intuitions are enhanced. Pay attention to these nudges now, and go where they lead. When you are in the zone, kindred spirits come out of the woodwork. So don’t be afraid to share your genius, and some of your vulnerability when you feel that connection with another on a similar path.

If you’ve read this far, I’m willing to bet that you are one who has chosen the path of the higher self, i.e. the north node–you may even know what sign and house your indicator of purpose known as the north node is in–this is the highest impulse and expression of oneself. It is not always the easiest path, but it is the most rewarding, as it asks you everyday to do those things that reward you not at the beginning, but at the end of the task, and in many instances, quite a bit later. So do work that is more about what you give than what you will receive, and do it in a way that is about the service rather than the reward. Yes, this is something that I must remind myself all the time, having been born a Virgo (moon, soul) who thought she was a Capricorn (sun, just the ego and the hired help).

Everything is part of the journey. It’s like when you travel, and crazy things happen, but it all becomes part of the story, the adventure. With the sun in Sagittarius and the moon (conjunct Mars) in Gemini, the next two weeks will be a little like that. Think about the story you’d like to tell as you live it. Do you want to react or respond? Do you want the next time you are triggered in a familiar way to be the time that you break up with your old reaction and choose a new one? Do you want this to be the time that you take the leap you’ve been meaning to take?

Another positive in this full moon chart: boldness abounds now. And though it’s a time to focus on completions (what do you want to achieve by the end of the calendar year?) and releasing things that no longer serve us, there will be moments in which you feel impelled to take a leap into unknown territory. Brilliance and genius are also in the air. Trust your guidance. It is strong now.

It’s called “Living by the Moon”, and it’s my latest inspiration. I’m doing it because I feel better when I live in harmony with the forces of nature, and want like-minded people to experience the same flow! I’ll be launching this officially in January, but for those who know they are in, I’m starting to post to it today!
